"During
difficult times you need an attorney
who'll listen and care."
These words, taken from our yellow page advertisement, are more
than a tag line or slogan. We view the practice of law as much more
than a business, in which we forge lifelong relationships with the
many people that we service and have contact with throughout our
varied and diverse practice. Although the practice of law is a business
much like any other, we have always tried, to the extent possible,
to remain focused on the issues and people that we serve.
Our family oriented philosophy is readily apparent to any new
client, who are routinely greeted by my Labrador Retriever, Ebony.
She has been a regular fixture in my office for almost seven years,
and has come to know and love hundreds and hundreds of clients,
family members and other people. Ebbie is always there with a friendly
wag of the tail, which is a great ice breaker and serves to reduce
much of the anxiety the clients understandably feel in meeting an
attorney for the first time.
While she loves physical affection, Ebbie also understands that
many humans are not "dog people". If you fall in that category,
simply tell her to sit down and she will not bother you further.
She is extremely docile and loves children, but please resist the
temptation and do not feed her anything when you visit our offices.
She has recently been diagnosed with arthritis in her front hip,
and we must now watch her weight carefully. However, she's always
ready for a kind word and a pat on the head, and she, like us, looks
forward to greeting you if you decide to engage our firm for your
legal matters.
